The Executive Director Joins Aspire Leadership Fellowship

Championing Education

What does it take to build education systems that truly transform nations?

For Tadala Kandulu Ngosi, the Executive Director, the answer begins with leadership rooted in vision, innovation, and resilience. Her dedication to championing quality education in Malawi recently took her to the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, where she joined fellow African change makers as part of the Aspire Leadership Fellowship, Cohort 5.

During this week-long gathering from 3 to 9 August, Tadala contributed to a thought-provoking sessions on topics such as the Whole Child Model which transcends the leaps of extraordinary learning. She also attended the overall Gathering panel discussions which brought together Africa’s powerhouse education organizations such as Youth Impact, who are providing foundational learning to half a million children in Botswana. The conversation brought forward critical insights: the significance of strong foundational learning, the power of innovative teaching methods, and the necessity of continuous teacher development as pillars for sustainable progress. This discussion solidifies our work for Teaching at the Right Level as we have borrowed the Youth Impact curriculum to support our students at Tadala abc Primary School.

The three-year Aspire Leadership Fellowship convenes forward-thinking leaders from across Africa who are committed to reshaping the future of education. By engaging with peers and sharing perspectives, Tadala, with MATCH Foundation, continues to refine practical approaches tailored to Malawi’s unique challenges.

Her journey within the fellowship is more than professional growth, it will benefit MATCH Foundation’s beneficiaries by bringing innovative educational approaches and leadership insights, ultimately empowering teachers, students and communities. Malawi’s education landscape faces immense hurdles, yet through visionary leadership, opportunities for lasting change continue to emerge.
