Focus: Early Childhood Development, Literacy, Numeracy, Hygiene, Music & Movement
At MATCH Foundation, we believe that a child’s educational journey begins long before Standard 1. Our ECD School Readiness Program is designed to equip young learners with the foundational skills literacy, numeracy, hygiene, creativity, and social confidence they need to thrive in primary school. Our first program was held on 18 and 19 September 2025.

Children explored basic hygiene practices and learned about vowels through interactive songs and colorful flashcards. Through storytelling, drawing, and simple paper crafts, they developed fine motor skills, language comprehension, and social interaction. Lessons on proper handwashing also built healthy habits that support lifelong wellbeing
The second day focused on numbers 1 – 5, using blocks, flashcards, and group counting games to reinforce numeracy skills. Learners practiced writing numbers and participated in movement-based activities, linking cognitive development with physical coordination. The day concluded with music and dance which was a joyful way to boost confidence,
teamwork, and self-expression.
Impact: By integrating play-based learning into early education, MATCH Foundation ensures children are not only academically prepared but also socially and emotionally ready for the classroom. This holistic approach helps bridge the gap between home and school, creating a stronger foundation for lifelong learning
