My name is Vanessa Pheluwa, and I am a 16-year-old Form 2 student at Cherub Private Secondary School. My academic interests focus on chemistry, biology, and physics, as these subjects are important for achieving my career goal of becoming a surgical doctor. I have a particular love for the colour purple, which holds special meaning for me due to its use in church ceremonies within the Catholic Church. During my free time, I enjoy staying informed by reading the news. My favorite meal is chicken and chips.
I am deeply thankful to the MATCH Foundation, not only for providing me with a scholarship through the Play and Stay Project but also for giving me the unbelievable opportunity to become the first person in my family to experience air travel when I traveled to Morocco for a Youth Exchange Program.
